3. What are cookies?

Cookies are small information files stored by the internet browser on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or use a (mobile) application. They act as a kind of memory aid for a website. Thanks to cookies, our Websites can easily track specific information about our visitors and their browsing behaviour.

  • First-party and third-party cookies: whether a cookie is a 'first-party' or 'third-party' cookie depends on the domain that places the cookie.
    • First-party cookies are cookies placed by a website currently visited by the user (e.g. cookies placed by disso.ai).
    • Third-party cookies are cookies placed by a domain other than the website being visited by the user. If a user visits a website and another entity places a cookie through that website, this would be a third-party cookie.
  • Persistent cookies: these cookies remain on a user's device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time the user visits the website that created this specific cookie.
  • Session cookies: these cookies allow website administrators to link a user's actions during a browser session. A browser session starts when a user opens the browser window and ends when he closes the browser window. Session cookies are created temporarily. Once you close the browser, session cookies are deleted.

4. What cookies do we use on our websites?

Given that some of the cookies and/or technologies used, as described below, may contain data that could potentially identify you directly or indirectly, the following will be individually outlined: who places these cookies, the purposes for which they are placed, and the duration for which the data collected from them is retained.

  2. Strictly necessary technical cookies, which are essential for transmitting a message over an electronic communications network.

Given their necessity, there is only an information requirement, and we place them as soon as you enter the Websites.
